present GENE LUEN YANG AUTHOR TALK OCTOBER 15 Award winning graphic novel superstar Gene Luen Yang will visit DIESEL, A Bookstore in Larkspur on Thursday, October 15 from 5:00-6:00pm to talk about his new book Secret Coders for kids aged 8-12.
Secret Coders is page-turning mystery, a beginners guide to computer programming and a graphic novel all rolled into one. Gene Luen Yang has written and drawn many comics, including the hit Avatar: The Last Airbender series. American Born Chinese was a National Book Award finalist, as well as the winner of the Printz Award and an Eisner Award. Gene is the Library of Congress National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, and recently became a MacArthur Foundation "Genius" Fellow.
