Community Powered Learning
MV GATE's programs have attracted national attention by engaging thousands of families and kids in a uniquely collaborative non-profit model we call “Community Powered Learning." It consists of mobilizing parents and older students to help teach computer science and more to our kids. Our Family Code Nights at participating schools lead to after-school enrichment classes. These classes are led by professional MV GATE instructors, with teaching teams complemented by paid or volunteer Coaches, and by Volunteers from the school community. Everyone wins in this great community experience: kids, parents, college students, middle and high schoolers.
Lead Instructor Positions
Our teaching teams start with an expert Lead Instructor who is primary teacher and manages a team of paid and volunteer Coaches. MV GATE is hiring and training lead instructors for our fall & winter classes in Math, Engineering, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Minecraft Modding and MIT Scratch.
