Continue today's Reed School "Hour of Code" at Home!
Our MV GATE team had a terrific time this morning doing the "Hour of Code" for three combined Reed School second-grade classes. 75 little coders programmed Angry Birds and Zombies using repeat loops and nested conditionals. In second grade! It was great fun all around.
Parents, you can continue your child's computer science learning at home, and together! 1) Click here to continue today's puzzles (a series of 20 called "The Maze"), or 2) Click here to go to the next set of puzzles called "The Artist" (both from the wonderful Code.org) Also, if you and your child enjoyed today's activities, join our email list to make sure you hear about our future programs. Thanks again to Nathan Grebil, Melissa Martin and Janet Raiche, to all the kids, and to principal Dr. Mary Niesyn for making this happen. And thanks especially to Reed mom Samantha Walravens, whose advocacy and enthusiasm got this project rolling so quickly. Thanks all! And Code On! |
