Bring MV GATE Programs to Your School
You can bring MV GATE classes and events to your school, quickly and at zero cost to your school.
It starts with our “Hour of Code Night,” a free evening program in which parents and kids do their first hour of computer programming together. Hour of Code Night is a consistent winner, a great and delightful experience for everyone involved. Our model has received considerable national and local attention: the New York Times, the Marin IJ, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Mill Valley Herald. |
After Hour of Code Night, families are eager for follow-up programs to continue the learning and fun. A typical first class is “CodeKids,” an intro to programming logic for grades 2-5. In response to family demand, our lineup has blossomed to nine courses, providing a long-term enhanced learning path for kids from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
We offer events and classes in close partnership with each school. We provide instructors, curriculum, teaching materials, sign-up systems, insurance, training – everything needed for each class. Schools simply provide existing space and computers, and help announce classes and events to the school community. The result is lightning-fast implementation of great programs, along with careful respect for school facilities. |
Since our model minimizes demands on the school, we can bring our program to a new school quickly – certainly in this school year. In fact, National Computer Science Education Week is coming up in early December – an ideal moment for an Hour of Code Night! But we’re happy to proceed on whatever pace works for each school.

We'd love to discuss our programs in person – a meeting with the Principal is a good place to start, as they are our first, best and essential partner in successful program implementation. |
